Josephus Farmer

Pentecostal minister whose woodcarvings and banners, often utilising significant negative space, were used not only as preaching tools, but as lessons beyond the Bible to reflect on Black history. The exhibition features a particularly strong work illustrating a passage from the Old Testament.
