Freddie Brice

1920 - 1998 (South Carolina, USA)

Blue-collar worker and self-taught image-maker, whose painted practice of stark monochromatic interiors and animalia was much feted within the New York art scene of the 1990s. On display within the exhibition is an unusually large-scale painted image on a found wooden door.
