ROBERT SAINT-BRICE [1-54 ART FAIR]
Somerset House
04.10.18 > 07.10.18
As part of its ongoing investigations into alternative makers of the 20th century canon, The Gallery of Everything presents an installation of newly-discovered artworks by the self-proclaimed visionary and spiritualist, Robert Saint-Brice (1893-1973).
Although Saint-Brice began painting in his 20s, it was only when he joined the Centre d’Art d’Haïti in 1949 that he gained attention for his abstract interpretations of folklore and myth; for Saint-Brice saw himself as both artist and priest, channeling a mixture of belief, practice, experience and dream.
