Sister Gertrude Morgan [FRIEZE MASTERS]

At Frieze Masters 2022, The Gallery of Everything presented The Revelations of Sister Gertrude Morgan as part of Spotlight, Frieze Masters, curated by Camille Morineau of AWARE (Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions). The spotlight section aimed to bring to the forefront female artists who have been overlooked by mainstream art history. 

The installation featured rarely seen large-scale works, signs and objects, as well as biographical material and written texts. This is the first time that Sister Gertrude Morgan was presented as a standalone artist at an international art fair. 

Sister Gertrude Morgan was included in curator Lynne Cooke's Outliers and American Vanguard Art at the National Gallery/ Smithsonian (Washington DC), High Museum (Atlanta) and LACMA (Los Angeles); and is currently on view in this year's 59th Venice Biennale, The Milk of Dreams, curated by Cecilia Alemani.
